A world within a school
Bjørn's International School is an independent international school established in 1967 in Copenhagen (Denmark). We offer a holistic, values-driven, and international educational experience to a student body of over 50 different nationalities
Our vision at BIS is to provide:

Values
A societal microcosm
Bjørn's International School is a multicultural space where different languages, values and belief systems coexist and each person is respected regardless of religion, nationality or ethnicity. Our fees allow us to welcome students from all different kinds of economic backgrounds.
The Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Justice (DEIJ) commitment of BIS is wholly aligned and is integral to our work. We aim to create opportunities for students to learn with and from one another, and we strive to create a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, and has equal access to opportunities.
Teaching & Learning

A wide range of learning opportunities: Each class group consists of two-year levels, allowing students to optimise their learning and meet their educational needs. This has proven to be an advantage since we receive students from many different countries with diverse educational experiences.
We don’t say that we offer Global tailored education merely because of being based in a gorgeous early 20th century building that was originally conceived as a textile factory. Being a small school allows us to offer individualised education in a context where everyone knows each other. Because of our size, structure and inter-departmental cooperation we are able to support newly-arrived students in making progress with their language acquisition skills in Danish & English and develop positive peer-to-peer interactions which supports students’ integration process and the establishment of new social relationships.
Our qualified teaching staff comes with a wide variety of international experiences and combines a strong academic foundation with an empathetic, child-centred, multicultural approach. You can read more about them in the section “Staff”.
